ViKiwi, Inc. takes your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what we do with the information received from people who visit the ViKiwi website and use its services (together, the “Service”).

BY USING THE VIKIWI SERVICE, YOU ARE ACCEPTING THE PRACTICES SET OUT IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY AND IN THE VIKIWI TERMS OF SERVICE.

What We Collect and How it is Used

Non-Personally Identifiable Information. Non-personally identifiable information is information that, by itself, cannot be tracked to a specific individual. ViKiwi may collect web surfing data such as your IP address, pages on the Service that have you visited, time and date, and whether or not you clicked on advertisements. We may use different types of technologies to collect this information, including cookies and single-pixel GIFs.

If your browser accepts the cookies, they will recognize your computer when you revisit the Service. This allows us to improve the Service for you, by allowing us to learn how you use the Service. You can configure your browser to block cookies.

If you choose to click on an advertisement or link on the Service, ViKiwi may provide non-personally identifiable information to the advertiser and/or web publisher. The advertiser or web publisher may also use cookies or other technologies to collect information about you. Their activities are governed by their own, unrelated privacy policies, and not by this Privacy Policy.

ViKiwi may also use non-personally identifiable information (i) to troubleshoot service or technology problems; (ii) to assess and maintain security; (iii) to determine how to place ads on the site; or (iv) to allow you to log in or access your profile information automatically. We may also use the information to count and recognize returning users.

ViKiwi may perform analyses on non-personally identifiable information to determine user demographics, interests, and behavior and may use that information to market the Service to potential advertisers or partners. ViKiwi also may provide your non-personally identifiable information to contractors so that they can perform services for us.

Personally Identifiable Information. If you register or create an account for the Service, we may ask you to provide personally identifiable information (“PII”), which may include your user name and email address (for registration) and, on an optional basis, information for your account such as your name, phone number, street address, company, etc.

If the Service allows you to invite a friend or colleague to register with ViKiwi, we may ask you to provide your name and email address along with your friend or colleague's name and email address. We will send one email message inviting your friend or colleague to register. We will not use this information for any other purpose.

If you upload, post and/or distribute any content or materials of any kind (“Materials”), including PII, to any portions of the Service website including but not limited to any project space, that information, along with your username or other PII, may be viewable by other users. Other users may copy your posted Materials and distribute them to third parties who are not users of the Service, including via public pages of the Internet.

If you do not want other users to know your PII (other than your user name and email address, which are a necessary feature of the project sharing functions of the Service), do not provide it with any Materials. Other users of the Service will not have any access to any PII submitted by you when you register or set up an account. Also, to limit the amount of personal information disclosed, you may provide a user name or display a name other than your actual name.

ViKiwi may use PII for internal purposes, such as product support, sales, human resources, marketing, and administration. We may share this information with third parties who provide ViKiwi with administrative services.

We may notify you of important changes to the Service, new services, and special offers. If you do not want to receive such notices, please contact us at support@vikiwi.com with the word "Opt Out" in the subject field. Opting out may prevent you from receiving email messages regarding updates, improvements, or special offers.

Other Sharing of Information

ViKiwi may release information when necessary to comply with the law or a court order or an investigation. ViKiwi also may release information to law enforcement agencies to protect the rights, property, or other interests of ViKiwi and third parties, including other users, or to prevent illegal activities or violations of ViKiwi's Terms of Service.

In the event that ViKiwi, in whole or in part, enters into contractual relationships with one or more other company, or is acquired by or merged with another company, information collected by ViKiwi may be transferred to the contracting third party, or to the acquiring or merging entity.

Your Privacy Settings

ViKiwi allows users to edit their profiles to ensure that they are up-to-date or to set the privacy setting to public or private. To do this, sign into your account and select the "edit account settings" button on your profile page. To delete your account, please contact support@vikiwi.com.

Child Protection

ViKiwi does not offer services to, or target, persons under the age of 13. In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, any information we receive from people we believe to be children under 13 will be purged from our database.


Security

ViKiwi makes significant efforts to protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of the collected information. These measures may include the use of secure server technology. We cannot however ensure the security of any information transmitted to us over the Internet, and we accept no liability for any unintentional disclosure. Many areas of the Service are password-protected. To increase the security of the Service, please do not share your password with anyone.


Links to Advertisers and Other Websites

The Service may contain links to other websites, including advertisers. ViKiwi is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of any other web publishers, advertisers, or other websites.


WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO MODIFY THIS PRIVACY POLICY AT ANY TIME, IN OUR SOLE DISCRETION, BY POSTING CHANGES ON THIS PAGE. In some instances and in our sole discretion, we may include notices elsewhere on the website. Your continued use of the Service following any updates to this policy will constitute your acceptance of those changes.
